All Seniors and everyone with medical conditions need to fill out a File of Life

Have y'all heard of these? It is vital information for first responders as to what medication you take, your physicians name, allergies, even your pets names so that first responders know that there are pets in the home. You put one at each door, where the first responders can see them. Like my house, we have skinny windows by the first door, and they fit perfectly inside the window.

Here is some info https://www.folife.org/

There may be an organization in your area where you can get the files or if worse comes to worse, amazon has them in bundles of 5

This way, everyone is prepared and not flying blind trying to get info together.

I made a similar one that stays in my pocket for when I leave home for my appointments. It includes my blood type and drug allergies.

You aren't leaving documents loose outside the door or window.

If first responders see that there is a Red Pouch, generally they know where to look for documents - other side of your door or fridge. I wanted to pass the info on so that those who know single seniors living in their homes can have info made out for first responders.

I know I got a file from Alzheimer's Arkansas. At one time you could order free samples from the company who makes them, but didn't see to do that now. From what I was reading, you have to be a non-profit to order at very inexpensive prices - 89¢ ea per 1000.

I always thought that as you age, these should be available from your physician, or your local Fire Dept or Police Dept; Meals on Wheels, etc.

When you sign up for Medicare, have link about the FoL, simply so people know about the files.

When life settles down, whatever/whenever that may be, quite possibly everyone should know about the bright Red Files. Proactive or some such.

Y'all are welcome for the info. What made me post is that we are going through boxes in the garage and a FoL was packed into a box. Since we are admonished to stay around the house, we are trying to put our time to good use
