Secret Service Looks Into DNC Delegate Who Said She’d ‘Like To Kill’ Romney

Julia Rodriguez, a DNC delegate who said in a video interview with the Blaze that she would kill Mitt Romney if she saw him, should expect to be hearing from the Secret Service.

Secret Service spokesman Ed Donovan confirmed to TPM on Thursday that the agency is aware of the video and is taking “appropriate follow-up measures.”

As part of that process, Secret Service personnel will try to determine Rodriquez’s intentions, as they did when they met with rocker Ted Nugent earlier this year.

In the video, Rodriguez said Romney “will destroy this country” and added that she would “like to kill him” if she ever saw him. The Secret Service’s involvement was first reported by the Daily Caller.

I discovered this story because a friend posted the video of Rodriguez on Facebook. I'm glad TPM covered it so I wouldn't have to link to Daily Caller or the Blaze. Friend wanted to provide a counter-point to the story of the teenager from Ohio who tweeted about assassinating Pres. Obama.
