From today through Friday, my latest book, humorous horror or possibly horrible humor, will be free on Amazon (Kindle version).
People I know have had very mixed results from making their books free for a short time. I wanted to give it a try myself.

Also, I will tell you that I have read a few series online that were then published and I did indeed by the paper editions for my collections. The Monster Island, Morningstar and Autumn series comes to mind immediately.

However, I haven't noticed any spike in the number of my other e-books being sold on Amazon.
Maybe this doesn't prove anything one way or the other about the value of this marketing technique, since those who downloaded the free copies probably haven't had time to read them yet.
Or they've read enough of the book to know that they don't care for it, but I'm trying not to think about that.
