I live in western Michigan which is hardcore religious right wing. In all of my travels, the elusive Romney/Ryan bumper sticker has not been seen on a single car.

However, I have seen a few in typically progressive areas in the state in Montgomery County. However, MoCo is a wealthy county, so it's not far fetched if there are wealthy folks who don't want their taxes going up.

(42,664 posts)Started showing up during/after the repub convention. Beginning to see some Obama 2012 signs; expect that as time goes on I'll see more. Last time around I laid out some cash to get a bunch of signs that I offered to my neighbors and I quickly ran out.

Granted, I'm just outside Boston, but after the Palin pick last time, there were tons of weird Palin posters all along my route to work. I'm still taking the same route, but no Romney signs at all.
This man was the governor of the Commonwealth for 4 years and no one here wants to admit publicly they are voting for him. Says a lot.

I saw a total of 2 Romney signs the whole time, and they were neighbors. No one else really had any signage up, not even for other elected offices.
I think that Romney is toast in his "homestate" of Michigan, and we can only hope there are downticket implications.

I saw my first Obama sticker just last week.
Occasionally, there are several cars I see, plastered with all the batshit crazy, Prez O as Hitler, "you keep the change, I'll keep my guns!", stickers.
SO...this is part of my rant...the Obama store does NOT have anything with the Forward theme (and actually, the site even has stuff with 2008 on it?!?). I posted this yesterday and am hoping that all of you will ask the website and White House to get this stuff up and running. I finally ordered off of CafePress.com, to get stickers I like.
PLEASE contact the Obama store site!

(18,623 posts)I'm not sure what to make of it, unless people don't want to get caught up in a sidewalk debate this time. The Republicans because they don't want to explain a candidate they didn't like to begin with, and Dems because they have to listen to TeaBaggers ranting about Obama's Martian roots.

Every now and then I'll see a nObama sticker, but not often. AL Repubs don't seem to be very enthusiastic about Willard. By this time in 2008, I was seeing Obama and McCain stickers in equal numbers. Either a) no one genuinely likes R-Money because he's a total worker-hating phony who just wants the title or b) the Failure Fuhrer was just that big of an embarrassment to Republicans.
