Remember wage and price controls in 1974-75? Can you imagine Obama imposing them, or threatening to nationalize the oil industry, as Carter did when he was a candidate during the Summer of 1976?

Yes, they have all moved very far to the Right. Even the so-called liberals.

for political purposes, to weaken the Democratic Base.

Reagen was their "coming out of the closet" moment once the unions were weakened enough the Republicans showed their true colors.

My dad joined the Republicans way back then because of that, and slowly turned into the anti -worker and more pro big business.

Before he died at 74, we was about to vote for Bill Clinton because of his health care stance.

My Grand dad was a Socialist master carpenter, I probably got my view points from my grand dad.
