Question for other Californians on the Newsom Order

I am self-employed and left my office at 3:00 p.m. yesterday. I have been primarily working at home -- legal work such as discovery which can be served by email with agreement.

Now, my question: I thought I read that a business (other than those deemed essential) has between 10:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. today (March 20) to shut down and may go in once a week thereafter for a limited time.

Am I dreaming...or does anyone else have any info? TIA

IF, as I suspect it is based on the LA order already in effect, there are considerable exclusions for some types of legal work as there are for the full comprehensive range of business that service & impact health and health care.

Our office does personal injury and one of two of the major issues we deal with are medical coverage for those who have been injured in an accident and loss of earnings due to injuries caused by a third party other than an employer.

I am able to work at home but I do need to go to my office to get mail and supplies that are there and pick up the mail.

This really clarified where I am with the Shut Down.

Thank you so very much!!!
