Anyone else see Good Ole' Boy Rep.Buddy Carter (R) Georgia on Velshi just now?

He's just grinnin', laughin', and lyin', about how he doesn't want to see "socialized medicine" brought into the country. When Canadian Ali Velshi, tried to educate him on the realities of Universal Healthcare, inviting him to visit Canada with him, he said "Canadians are coming into the States now to buy prescription drugs".

The same tales have been handed down from generation to generation, preached from the pulpit and mumbled between bites at the dinner table.

Of all the people I know here, at least 90% are life-long Republicans. They seem to otherwise be decent folks until they start talking politics and the next thing you know, your friend grows horns and a snout.

I had hoped for a bit better from Savannah (Buddy's district) but I guess not.

at a national pharmacy meeting (of all places). The guy is an idiot. I'm shocked he's still in office. He's an embarrassment.

My husband, who is a pharmaceutical exec, was surprised a pharmacist could be that dumb, but it seems there are many other similar examples...Did you know, for instance, that Texas Rep. Louis Gomet was not only a lawyer, but a Judge?!?..
