(10,413 posts)whether the GOP calculation is it could wipe out a bunch of the less fortunate who vote for Democrats.
The GOP had to fear the changes coming in demographics. Maybe they see this as a potential reprieve by thinning the ranks of those who vote against them.
Horrible thought but I wouldn't put it past them.
Or maybe if it can get really ugly, Trump sees that as his best path to retain power.

(4,040 posts)They're the one's rolling around in it, having virus parties, church services and going back to work.
That's what makes this even more nuts. When they're all dying Trump will quote to them his favorite fable....
You knew I was a snake all along.

Die liberals die.
Besides that is god's will.
Praise be to god.

I think the red states/areas are going to be in for a rude awakening, and soon.

(15,966 posts).... because trDumpie was so busy running around calling it a hoax. Community infection was able to run rampant before we got a handle on it, that is why we needed a valid test then quarantine. We missed the boat because of his incompetence. Large city blue voter areas could register a scary death toll.
Let's see what areas statistically were hit the hardest with a virus death toll. It ain't going to be pretty.

(63,221 posts)at least in my city are taking things pretty seriously and avoiding social contact. The streets are almost empty. Also we have a lot more access to delivery services so we don't have to go out in public to get what we need, although some people do.
I have heard a lot of people in red areas aren't taking it seriously at all and are still going to malls and large gatherings which will eventually catch them up. They don't have the numbers we do, so they won't have the casualties that we will have, but percentage-wise I think it will end up taking a pretty big toll.

(15,966 posts)It could have all been avoided if we had competent leadership.
His recent comment,
"...if they treated us nicer we would help them out... (refering to Blue States)
Is worrisome, but par for the course by trDumpie.

(10,885 posts)He hates both states passionately. When he's forced to say something positive about Cuomo or Newsom, you can hear him struggle to get the words out.
Chump will find a way to rise above this latest fiasco. I'm figuring that once the country is bleeding red dots, his spiel will be that "IT'S A WORLDWIDE PANDAMIC!!! NO ONE CAN WIN AGAINST THIS ENEMY!!!"
