I have posted before about the local coffee shop I frequently stop at. Yes ran by a trump humper but coffee is delicious and only place on my way to work.
The last week it has been closed but to my not surprised this morning lot was full. I whipped around just at my jonesing for coffee and went in.
The red hats blinded me as I ordered coffee and asked, wow open for business i see. Owner smirks "didn't you hear president wants us back to work?"
I snugged up my n95 on my face, pulled tight my rubber gloves and sceee dattled out of there.
Buying a Keurig online now.

(8,445 posts)I'll take my own coffee at home any day. I do use a Keurig, but use the refillable pod. I have the Keurig Classic because I only need one cup at a time and they're not such a ridiculous price. I also like to do the pour over method, but generally just don't want to take the time in the morning. My sons and their families use Ninjas, and I like them too, and may consider one when I'm in the need to buy another coffee maker. Another method I've tried is the cold brew concentrate, but it uses a lot of coffee and is more complicated than I like by the time I get done filtering. It makes a smooth cup of coffee. Oh, and I always use filtered water. It not only tastes better, it seems to be better for my coffee maker. I've been using the same Keurig for several years, and the one before that lasted about three years.

(8,445 posts)My daughter uses them, but I prefer to fill my own with my choice of coffee. I like the taste better, and I'm a very frugal person (frugal, but not cheap ).

(68,456 posts)That does it all but I pull espresso shots by hand too.I foam and heat my own milk too. 'Venti Lattte` was my oldest first two words! Hubs found it cheaper to buy a machine than face a 'coffee' bankruptcy. I make better coffee at home than any coffee shop these days.

(12,324 posts)I've roasted beans --- highest priced Kona and Jamaica Blue Mountain, down to $8 and 9.00 stuff. I notice little difference between the two.

(38,530 posts)You can probably make fair-trade coffee at home for a fraction of the cost.
And the owner probably has enough MAGAts (for now--until they all get sick) to keep his business going.
