We can't even get tested, let alone disinfect our streets.

In China it is not uncommon for people to spit on the street

Paul Theroux writes about it in one of his travel books

Ewwww! I stayed about 20’ away from her. She also over-handled the products on the shelves.

He opened it, stuck his finger in it, found it not to his liking, and closed it and put it back on the shelf.

No spitting involved, but the "over-handling" reminded me of this.

I'm for spraying everything everywhere. I bring groceries to my young adult children & my daughter Lysols the Clorox wipes!

Probably substantially effective only in very crowded city areas where some people go barefoot or wear sandals, or where people handle and remove their shoes prior to entering buildings.

With almost everyone sheltering indoors, there's no need.

There's also the issue of environmental effects of vast amounts of disinfectants going into our groundwater or sewers.

That all said, it is worthy of mention to say virus particles could in theory stay viable for a couple of days on outdoor surfaces under ideal conditions.
