3. 11,860 new cases so far just on one day!

staggering, and a good insight into how swamped our hospitals are and will become in the next month.

(i know, not all new cases are hospitalized, but still...)

5. whats worrysome is that all of these cases will take weeks to move into the "recovered" column.

between two and six weeks. A significant fraction will be hospitalized and land in the critical column, yielding a lot of deaths. Detroit and Atlanta were both saying their ICU's are already at capacity. New York is getting close to that despite the strong leadership of Andrew Cuomo. He has seen it coming, he has been sounding the alarm and yet the feds have yet to help him increase the capacity or getting needed supplies. The same scenario will repeat in other major cities in the coming weeks.

8. 13,986 new cases yesterday

The way it seems to be going, they could hit 30,000 or more new cases per day in 2-3 weeks.

With the lack of testing and Trump admin stepping on the numbers, reality is probably closer ten times that.

12. in truth a portion of the increase might be due to just plain testing more

then again we also know that some likely covid-19 cases are specifically *not* being tested in order to conserve our limited supply.

richest nation on earth, best healthcare system in the world. none of that matters if you've got an enemy of the american people in the white house.

9. So tragic, this is not the kind of winning first place we ever wanted.

Makes me remember when that idiotrump said America is going to be winning so much we will be sick of winning. Sick is not winning.

I also don't believe anything the Chinese government says. Their statistics are just as suspect as ours.
