Kind of... better than nothing. I was gloved-up to go pick up some Rx-ions... and I had an itch on my nose... and I touched my face. Ugh!

Fortunately, it was NOT the same hand I used to open the door and I hadn't touched anything. But still... it's not entirely foolproof and people (especially me, apparently) need to make a conscious effort to continually be aware of what they're doing.

6. I use 1 gloved hand and 1 ungloved. Gloved is for doorknobs and elevator

buttons, accepting change, touching stuff other people touch. Ungloved is for phone, keys, coat zipper, wallet, stuff I dont want contaminated.

And I think I am becoming OCD. I put change I receive into a plastic baggie in my pocket. When I come home I dump it in a bowl of soapy water. I have all these bills drying on my kitchen counter.

I like that idea. I told the cashier to put my cc in the bag and when I got home... I used a Clorox wipe on it.

13. I figured out the one glove technique the other day when I was out.

But I wear gloves for almost everything because I will touch anything and do most chores if I don't have to actually touch stuff. It's a thing for me, developed over many years of splinters, cuts and hamburger knuckles.

The face touching issue is why I wear them when I’m out and about. Then I wash my hands when I get home.

my face is cleaner than my ass and other surfaces in my house. I use touch for grooming hairs on exposed surfaces.

radiation treatment..(he is on a good mend) he wears his mask and gloves whenever he needs to go out..which isn't often..he picked up another paint job for tomorrow, and needed to get the paint for his client..(I told him to have them get the paint, alas)..the client is away for week-end..

Due to his profession (since he retired) he has masks and gloves - who would have thunk..and I posted the BCBS poster on the frig in the garage..and it does say.."don't touch your face"...

Our mantra, act like you, and everyone else, has the virus....we can all do this together…. Be well...

12. That's because they are used to wearing them (no excuse).

I wore gloves intermittently at work and I wear them out in public now. I change frequently - going into the grocery store, I glove up. Take them off and toss them on the floor of my car once I'm done, use sanitizer, get a new pair. Use them to get into the house. Take my groceries out and de-glove, wash my hands, then a new set. Wash/disinfect food and boxes, put them on a clean space, take gloves off, wash my hands, clean the countertop.

I wear gloves to remind me since in every day life, I do not.
