She is in my bookclub, said they are not doing any new warrants, letting a lot of low offenders out early and I haven’t seen any police driving around.

My governor said please follow orders but not martial law they won’t stop you for being out unless you are in a group.

because people are at home. And there aren't as many people walking around outside to mug. In my state car accidents are down 49%.

every night on the 10pm news there would be stories of shootings and murders in and around Chicago. Unless I'm missing it somehow - I haven't heard any stories like that in the last couple of weeks. So I don't know if they are just not reporting it and its still happening or if because people are self-isolating that for the time being these shootings and killings have stopped or slowed down.

Only seeing a few shootings per day now in Memphis area. (Violent crime rate here has been higher than Detroit. Frankly, I avoided leaving house before covid because of ridiculous amount of random shootings.)
