(CNN)Former Oklahoma Sen. Tom Coburn died at his home Saturday, according to a statement from his family. He was 72.

"Tom A Coburn, MD, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home this morning surrounded by his family," his family said in a statement. "Because of his strong faith, he rested in the hope found in John chapter 11 verse 25 where Jesus said, 'I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, will live, even though they die.' Today he lives in heaven."

A memorial service for Coburn will be held at a later date and will be announced, the family said.

if it is anytime in the near future.
Unless people in OK don't believe in pandemics.

inquiring minds would like to know if there are snowballs where he has passed.

I'm sure he had family who cared for him. My sympathies to them.

One such effort was in support of rightwing efforts to call a Constitutional Convention, in an attempt to dramatically restrict the powers of the US federal government.

“We’re in a battle for the future of our country,” Coburn told the annual convention of the American Legislative Exchange Council (Alec) in New Orleans in August 2018. “We’re either going to become a socialist, Marxist country like western Europe, or we’re going to be free. As far as me and my family and my guns, I’m going to be free.”

An excellent link to his woman-hating views on abortion: http://www.issues2000.org/Social/Tom_Coburn_Abortion.htm
