2. Not so much here in central mass...

Huge center in Worcester, and the only thing they are scheduling for the next 10 days is a/b platelets.

I'm o-. I just checked today. No appointments, no need.

5. Makes me wonder what is normally done to screen blood?

I've done it a number of times, but never really thought about what they do with it for QC.

My diet and exercise routine has gone to shit in the last three weeks.

9. I don't think they do it anymore.

Gave about a year ago, and donít think so.

What?! Youíre not biking?!

I know how you feel, staring at my bike out the window right now as I sit on my ass drinking wine.

I did mow yesterday, so that counts. Walked the dogs. Not enough.

11. I was going to ride today, but it's a bit wet out

If it was drier, I'd be out. But absent ideal conditions, I don't want to risk an ER visit by sliding in a corner.

13. Good point.

Only excuse I have is the high pollen count.

But if I could mow...sigh.

10. Good point

I didnít think about this when I scheduled my appointment, but wouldnít the blood have to be tested?

I donít know why the drive was cancelled if the demand was so high, but since Iím on their mailing list I guess Iíll find out about others.

14. Were the staff where you donated taking extra precautions?

Masks? Keeping distance? I have an appt next week and am a wee bit nervous.

Had gloves and gave hand sanitizer even at sign in. They did distance themselves.

18. Hmm. I do have one box of gloves and masks at home that I had long before any of this started.

I think this would be the perfect occasion to use them.
