I would like to see the breakdown by state. But give it time. Time and circumstances and his propensity for erratic behavior. What his supporters saw as endearing yesterday will be infuriating tomorrow, particularly when it's their friends and relatives who suffer and die. All we need is a thin margin of people to turn from him and our nightmare could be over.

He provided yet another "nail in his coffin," a comment sure to infuriate even those among his base, when he speculated without any evidence that nurses in New York are stealing PPE and selling it on the black market. That kind of reckless talk will surely drive his numbers down, especially in light of the worsening situation.

Numbers are only a snapshot in time, and just because the orange asshat appears on TV everyday surrounded by some competent people (and Pence) doesn't mean that the news is not getting out there about just how badly his mismanaged this whole crisis. He may brag about his TV ratings, but most people are turning it on mute or vacuuming or playing with the dog until Dr. Fauci appears. Rest assured that there are competent voices like the state governors who actually do the minimal amount of kissing up to try to get what they need for their states who will actually see us through. We hope.

I myself am furious whenever I see the idiot on the news. Today he stated that he'd love to go to the docking of the hospital ship in NY, but "the secret service won't let him", Of course not. NY would go all French Revolution on his ass, and h'd never make it out of there. Pleasant thought.

Try to take care of yourself. Get enough sleep when possible. Go for a walk if possible, Think about the birds by the ocean, the blooms in the park, the whales in the Pacific. Get some take-out that is really, really yummy.

And know this from a person just across the bridge who is missing SF: I appreciate what you do, I thank you for what you do, and I am proud of you.
