effecrive. But one loud, firm reporter who does not back down, followed by a chorus of reporters immediately backing up the first at a presser, would be effective with the public. Not with Trump. He is incapable of change. But it could be the turning point in how he is covered by the media. No more deference for the sake of the office or fear of retaliation. Just blunt, straightforward cries across the nation of, "No more BS."

has a better idea. Do not watch his press conferences at all. Do not contribute to his ratings. There are other ways to find out what lies he told on any given day.

DO NOT WATCH.

We can all do our part. Not going out of the house seems like an odd way to be helpful, but it is helpful. Not watching this monster is another way that not doing something can work. Starve him of attention.

I have said-they should in a display of solidarity just walk out.

The present circumstances warrant choosing a single representative of the media to present a limited number of questions at every press event. No need to put all these people in one limited space when we are being asked to maintain a safe social distance. Stop feeding Mr. Trump's insatiable demand for attention.

They all need to get up and walk out. If he has no audience fawning to get information, then he is non existent! He thrives on publicity so pull the plug and leave the briefing room. Someone has to be willing to take one for the nation and possibly lose their job. They would go down in history as a hero.....like remember: “Have you no shame, sir, have you no decency?”

When he does that to a reporter the very next reporter should get up and ask the exact same question. Kind of an "I am Spartacus" thing. Keep asking until he melts down and walks off the stage. Cow towing to him like most of them and refusing to act like a team do is letting off the hook.

But they won't, because the person whose name is in the bottom right hand corner of their paycheck supports this asshole. And he's made it quite clear that if you want access, you better be prepared to kiss his ass.
I read a book that was written during the Reagan regime called "On Bended Knee". It was about how the press treated Reagan. They're back there now. And they better get off their knees fast. There aren't enough "Yamiches" in the press pool...and they really aren't backing her up. Mika was right...they need to ask the same question over and over until he either answers or his head explodes. My money is on his head exploding.

They've had over 3 years to find a pair of balls and stand up to the cult leader in the White House and have chosen access over principles and decency. Yamiche has zero real support from her fellow white house reporters. Don't give me a Susan Collins special about how concerned you were. And how much you support Yamiche and detest the way she was treated. If you were a reporter in the pool and said NOTHING at the time to the Orange Anus, in the words of Channing Crowder, "Sat your ass down!"

Mon Mar 30, 2020, 12:47 PM

All of the networks should do two things when Trump is speaking live on television: 1) Run a chyron at the bottom of the screen during every Trump speech to fact check him in real time as he's speaking. And if that's not possible, then 2) immediately stop their broadcast of his speech and cut to something else. After every network starts doing one of these things in unison, then Trump will change his lying and self-aggrandizing behavior. For Trump, these media shows are political ads to his base and his way of stroking his own sense of self-importance. The media has to stop enabling Trump. All reporters should get up and walk out when Trump berates one their own, or when it's obvious that he's winging lies to have something seemingly (to himself) important to say.
