(12,712 posts)Shhh, don't tell the virus about sizes like microns, maybe they won't CATCH on and totally miss the opportunity to pass right through the cavern size holes in the fabric, huh?
Maybe some fake signs like: THIS IS TOO SMALL FOR YOU TO PASS THROUGH, SO MOVE ON!

(12,712 posts)A touching the front of the mask doesn't help, either if you then touch your face, etc.
However, due to the issue of micron size, frontally, the correct type of mask, (or preferably a respirator) would be far more effective than any cloth or fabric which, essentially might limit aerosol drops, but it is still transparent to the virus.

(10,885 posts)Looks like the ones my former boss used to keep on hand in his office to give out to flight attendants, etc., hoping to score after landing. He'd buy them by the dozens. You'd be amazed how many sold out for a Hermes scarf.
Of course, he also scored collectible points with the Hermes salesgal, if ya' get what I mean. They work on commission and were very grateful.
