Trump's Come To The Realization That All He's Got Left To Campaign On For Re-election Is.....

the coronovirus. Because he knows this - he's putting on the act that he has to - to try and make him look good at handling this crisis.

That's also why he's trying to keep those commercials that show his incompetence and his statements throughout this crisis off the air. He's sent a 'cease and desist' letter to the media. He's trying to act like he's really concerned about people dying from Covid-19. However, he had the Drs. (I believe) grossly overestimate the possible deaths from this crisis to 1 million to 2 million people - so he can come in at the most likely real numbers 100,000 to 200,000 - so he can claim that his 'tremendous' handling of this crisis by him saved a lot of lives. That's also why he's seemingly trying to cooperate more with the Govs and the States. That's why he's parading all those corporate CEO's in front of us. Make it look like he's doing a 'tremendous' job.

The problem is though - that his incompetence has been visible for all of us to see.

He still can't keep his mouth shut at the podium at these daily conferences to lie; to take bows by patting himself on the back and lash out at reporters that try to hold his feet to the fire.

He's also been taking credit for what the Gov's and Mayor's around the country are doing to save their people. He's trying to make it look like he's responsible for all the critical decisions that they've had to make.

So - IMHO - what we are witnessing is typical Trump - acting out - being what he needs to be in order to be re-elected.

Don't be fooled people - he hasn't changed. He's the same Trump we learned to come to know. This time he's acting more concerned - because this coronovirus is the last thing he has to campaign on for re-election.

In the eyes of many Americans already. He'll ultimately always be associated with it. And his "it will soon go to zero...it's going to magically disappear...it's a hoax" comments will go down in infamy.

My friend refers to it as the Orange Plague.

Or at least tell his toadies in the simpleton (red) states to do so.

Birx and others said today 100K to 240K dead unless we do that. He's not doing it.

He's not serious about looking competent.

The 1-2 million is if we did nothing. Even at this point. Yes he will claim victory against that though.

I don’t see him acting at all like he cares. HE may think that’s what he’s portraying but it’s not. He hasn’t showed any empathy or compassion. He came close today but he never got there. He doesn’t do negatives. He can’t handle them. Everything has to be positive. No introspection. He must dominate in some way even if it’s more scoops of ice cream.

the total if he had acted promptly and followed the advice of Dr. Fauci and other medical experts. I'm guessing would have been thousands so easily an order of magnitude less. Media should make that point every time he boasts about what a great job he's doing in holding the total to "only" 100-200K. red don has blood on his hands for all of those avoidable deaths.

stupid comes pouring out. He just keeps providing more and more material for ads against him. Virtually everything he says at these daily "briefings" magnifies his stupidity and inability to deliver on anything he claims he is doing. He would better serve himself by staying off the stage. But he's too stupid to realize it. He thinks everyone is going to stand up and cheer when he parades Mr Pillow across the stage when in reality it is so inappropriate while people are dying from his incompetency, and he's telling them 100,000 more are going to die and if that happens then he's a "10".

No matter, there will come a time in this bloodbath that enough magats are dead that his support system is finally going to crash. Playing Mr. Happy face with all the dying in the background isn't going to save him or the Republicans from the crushing defeat they have coming in November.

Yes, he is ACTING concerned. And yes, he hasn't changed but neither have the idiots who voted for him enough to matter. They bought and drank the Kool-aid along with GOP rhetoric for 40+ years.

and updates could include words that kind of sound like he has compassion and empathy. But he is never content to stay on script. He has to do his thing and riff. It gets him in trouble every.single.time. He just cannot resist making sh*t up, misstating the facts and wrenching his arm while patting himself on the back.

So let him go. He is just digging that hole deeper and deeper. The ads will write themselves.

Like the graph that starts with the 10th case and the pace of increase since then. The line for America is the worst one. Even worse than China, Spain or Italy. And America is the only country that has not yet seen the curve bend back the other way, even if only slightly.

Like you, I have wondered about those suddenly, really alarming forecasts of 100,000-220,000 American deaths. That would mean that today we still have 98% of the storm to weather. And we are already short of hospital beds, medical equipment, etc. Even if there are "o,ly" 70,000 deaths and the 2nd highest death count is 11,500 you have some heavy explaining to do. Very heavy.

He will have 2 choices:

Hope the Supreme Court decides that a former president cannot be prosecuted for crimes committed BEFORE he was president (which I dont think even this SC would find)

Or

Skip town for a non extradition country, and take his worthless grifter family with him.
