Reagan was half right

When he uttered (what his sick mind thought were) the nine most terrifying words: “I’m from the government and I’m here to help...”

He left out the word ‘republican’

This post is in response to “governor “ Desantis declaring that his orders will now supersede municipalities in the State of Florida.

I don’t think he has the constitutional authority to do this, and it will be challenged first thing in the a.m.

I’m sick of the population and tax centers of this state being controlled by backwater regressives.

Cut the state in half right above the I-4 corridor and let them join Alabama

Seriously, Leon, Gadsden, and Jefferson County are very blue, as is Alachua County (Gainesville & University of Florida). Much of the Orlando/Orange County area is turning blue.

When I first moved up here in the early 1970s the worst legislators came from South Florida. People would complain about what "Tallahassee" was doing but the people we elected here were NOT the problem, it was the idiots sent from the South and West parts of the state.

By the way, if you like the part of Florida south of I-4, look at how red the Southwest part of Florida is. Naples by itself probably has more Republican voters than all these little rural counties in the Panhandle. My home county of Polk has been very red, but is turning bluer - and it is cut in half by I-4.

I am fed up with people here suggesting dividing up the country because they don't like how things are going. The strength of the US is in the way we work together. Right now, the division would play into the hands of those who WANT to break up the US (and the European Union) so we will too weak to stand up against them.

Fuck that shit! Instead of falling into the divisiveness trap, work to bring us together.
