(25,959 posts)to send comfort to the citizens of the UK. Well done to him. The UK is lucky in this regard, because even a man as privileged as Prince Charles knows the gravity of the situation, knows to think of others and reach out to them in a way that none of the trump gang will ever understand.

But I also get that as Liberal American it works for the Democratic nations that are still have an official monarch.
Heaven forbid our leader give such a talk showing true gratitude to those who are keeping things going at risk to themselves.
And I truly do not think trump could even pronounce half the words he used or define a quarter of them.
Royalty or not, the guy is an impressive speaker. In an upperclass British kind of way.

Prince Charles speaks better and with more authority on his worst day than Tangerine Tyrant does on his best.

I'm being sarcastic of course. I wish I could go to bed and not wake up until I hear that President Biden is now our President.
