A kind -- and I hope simple -- request about posting links from Twitter

PLEASE include some information other than the link. Please!

When Canteloupe Caligula started using that as his platform, I cancelled my subscription to that social-network platform. I'm guessing many other users here either were not subscribers to begin with, or likewise cancelled their membership. Simply adding a "Link to tweet" doesn't cut it. Although we may each have some time and computer capacity to open the link, personally I'd prefer not to darken Twitter's virtual doorstep.

If you're trying to make an important point, please take the time to provide a transcript or synopsis of that message. If the point is that valid, it's worth polishing. Otherwise, I will steer away -- with no Rec's -- and your point will be lost on me.

Proofreading also helps: you can clean up the link fragments that appear on a hastily added OP. Hit the "Preview" button before you hit "Post my thread!" and then tidy-up. Neatness counts. As does succinctness.

Thank you in advance, and please stay safe and strong.

Unfortunately none of the original posters get the hint.
