Corporations need to choose a side...

IMO, you either have a vested interest in maintaining the United States as a democratic powerhouse or your only loyalty is to wealth. Choosing the former means you have to accept horse and sparrow economics is a failure. Trump is actively destroying our democratic institutions. These institutions are the only deterrent to the Russian oligarch system.

So corporate America, it’s time you got off your asses and choose a side. The people are going to remember......

That is NEVER going to happen.

They are legally charged to put profits for their shareholders first and foremost and they have no interests or concerns for this country unless they see a profit and one that is higher than other alternatives might yield.

There are two factors that are AGAINST democracy by nature: Theocracy and oligarchy. Neither is at all compatible with the common will or good.

CEO's can never serve two masters and we know that profit and the rewards they reap far transcend their fealty to our country, it's needs and its people. No way. Besides, many of what we call "American" corporations are multi-national and respect no flag whatsoever other than, perhaps the symbols on currency.
