(53,764 posts)We have several other solid Dem choices. Sanders would be the worse choice ever. Joe may have indicated a top cabinet post but not the vp slot.
trump does fear Biden though, which is why he got impeached trying to get dirt on him.

(115,661 posts)I doubt very much that Warren will be Biden's running mate. Not that there's anything wrong with her, but I think it's far more likely that he'd pick a younger person and probably a PoC like Harris, and also someone from a different part of the country

(58,634 posts)"That Woman from Michigan" would help in MI/WI/PA and maybe OH.
But WoC would be great, too, though Biden already carries the black vote with him.

(32,078 posts)If Biden is going to pick a Senator, it's not going to be from a state where there's a risk of electing/appointing a Republican replacement. Which there is in Massachusetts. We need her in the Senate. Harris would be great. So would Stacy Abrhams, Val Demmings, and a number of others.

Warren is the best pick by far.

(115,661 posts)she should stay in the Senate where she can actually do more good - and prevent the MA governor from replacing her with a GOPer.

His long history is that he doesn't tolerate competition period and that he isn't able to work with strong idea people like her with their own convictions. Much less willing.
Just as completely prohibitive, they have very different convictions. She's a member and strong supporter on leadership track of the establishment he despises and believes he needs to destroy, as someone very insightfully described her, "radical in support of tradition."
Oil and water.
Of course, Trump is dumb enough to believe the nonsense that she's some kind of lightweight "the woman" version of the male wannabe revolutionary. Sanders bears no comparison to her at all, and imo she made a big mistake in not making that extremely clear from the beginning. However, as Biden's VP this ongoing confusion could work just as Trump fears.
I'd love to see her as Biden's VP, a role he wanted her for if he ran in 2015, but there are lots of good people and some really good roles for her to play.
Trump must be afraid of everything these days.
