It seems as though Trump is doing everything wrong about Covid on purpose

I have a theory on why.

If he get everyone back to work too soon it will just keep springing up. If he can push things into the fall then people will be too afraid to go vote. Less voters always favors the Republicans.

2. That type of planning gives him too much credit

I think he is intellectually lazy. Refuses to listen to experts. And thinks he can bullshit his way through managing this.

I am not sure about the end game other than he was well aware of this very early on, even when it was just showing up in China.

He and the GOP are just going to exploit this in regards to their ultimate goals. A weak country and economy with Americans thrown to their knees, distanced, frightened and hungry makes great hunting grounds for vultures and a perfect scenario for a dictator.

The grab for power, BTW, is still going on by Trump amidst this, you can look it up. I think that underscores the intent and is very telling.
