It's rough being Jerome Corsi these days.

WorldNetDaily's star reporter has spent the past four years peddling various birther conspiracies, desperately trying to prove that Barack Obama was not born in the United States, work that culminated in taking part in a successful effort to manipulate Arizona sheriff Joe Arpaio into conducting an "investigation" into Obama's "eligibility" -- one into which Corsi insinuated himself as a de facto member of Arpaio's "cold case posse."

CORSI's credits(cough) of malfeasance are long: Besides the SwiftBots, he peddled the conspiracy theory of the "North American something or other" (U.S. sovereignty being given up to join Mexico-Canada), and books for the Minutemen/Teabaggers, and probably much more.

When NOORY took over the Art BELL franchise and kept featuring CORSI, I complained in an e-mail about his (NOORY's) wingnuttiness. He replied angrily that he WAS NOT NEITHER!1 When NOORY was given the gig permanently, he was verklempt on the air, sobbing about how this was his dream come true AND it sounded like a threat that he would NEVER give it up until he's dead.
