President Obama pushed back against Mitt Romney's accusation that his administration mishandled its response to the Libya crisis, noting that Romney bungled basic facts in his Tuesday night statement.
"There's a broader lesson to be learned here: Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later and as president one of the things I've learned is you can't do that," Obama told CBS News on Wednesday."It's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts and that you've thought through the ramifications before you make them."

Mitt needs a good swift kick in the ass, and instead, President Obama gave him a pat on the head, which is actually more embarrassing....

(23 posts)Obama makes Romney look like a screaming child who needs a nap! He could have easily slammed Romney for his messy comments! But instead he gave a very mature statement! He swapped him away like a fly! THIS is the real Class act President! Romney please take notes!

(11,833 posts)wasn't conservative. It was neo-con all the way.
No republicans should get elected (or reelected in Congress) until they drop the stupid saber-rattling that only inflames with misinformation. And until they go back to being fiscally conservative, which right now none of them are. They still push the stupid trickle down nonsense of huge tax cuts for the ultra rich, which will actually raise our deficit. That's not conservative. It's reckless and irresponsible.

(81,198 posts)Glad you're here. If we've learned anything over the past 24-36 hours, it's a solid comparison between who IS president (Obama) and who is NOT FIT to be president (Wrongney).
We need you.
Now get to work.

(10,715 posts)under entirely different circumstances, of course, but if there was lesson of 2004 its to stay ahead of the narrative. With the speed of the news cycle now, even 3 hours is too long to let something brew without an answer, and keeping them on the defensive has worked very well so far.

(2,338 posts)But I wish there was more discussion on these threads beyond a rec or thumbs up. Maybe supporting references. Or, personal opinions backed by facts or sources. Even well thought out opinions, to me, are preferable to the simple "great post" response. If you give a thumbs up, I for one, would like to understand your perspective as to why you did so.
So, does this post get me banned? I know I'm new here and have said on a different thread that I didn't find posting a very positive thing as a newbie. However, I would hope that some sincere constructive criticism might be accepted without hostility.

(11,085 posts)never, never considered ramifications. "Ramifignations? Whut's that? Sumthin' ta do with sheep? Heh-heh-heh. Now let's talk about the Axis of Evil."
(Note: Of the 3 countries called the "Axis of Evil," one responded by developing nuclear weapons, one is working on nuclear weapons, and one didn't even dig up its old plans to build nuclear weapons. We invaded the one that did nothing, supposedly for fear of their weapons of mass destruction.)
