Wonder if Obamas assumed Michigan would be a relatively quiet state for Sasha to attend college?

1. Might Be Based On Her Ambitions
Michigan has highly regarded schools in multiple disciplines. If Sasha has an ambition that is in one of those fields, that might be the determining factor.

2. Ann Arbor...
Is about the safest place for any Democrat. Probably the bluest city in Michigan.
If that’s where you were going with query. |

5. Ann Arbor is to Michigan as what Austin is to Texas.
Washtenaw and Wayne counties are the liberal backbone of the state.

3. Ann Arbor
Ann Arbor is a beautiful little college town--and I'm an Ohioan saying that! My husband is a Michigander and we go at least once a year. I think it's great Sasha is attending UM, which is a fantastic University!
