in this magnificent movie and find out who paid them?

(111,144 posts)and if they're really Americans, they could have been pulled from any megachurch morality play cast. And if that's where they got them, they worked for nothing or next to it.
If you know anybody in a megachurch, especially Terry Jones's megachurch (a long shot, I know), ask them if they recognize anyone.
Still, the thread that's most likely to unravel this thing is how it got to be the talk of Benghazi before much of anyone in the US had heard of it.

(938 posts)There are a lot of hungry actors in LA with little in the way of traction; a lot of them are just looking for exposure... desperate for it, really. This can lead them into doing crazy things, everything from Z-grade horror movies, to porn, to movies like this... and remember, the director and filmmakers might not have been honest with the actors regarding their true intentions. Movies can portray terrible things and terrible people, but still be great films with good messages, and sometimes it can be hard, from an actor's point of view, which is influenced heavily by what is explained to them by the director, to see the whole picture.
Not defending the movie, but the actors might not have known what they were contributing to.

(938 posts)The script she was given was titled simply Desert Warriors.
"It was going to be a film based on how things were 2,000 years ago," Garcia said. "It wasn't based on anything to do with religion, it was just on how things were run in Egypt. There wasn't anything about Muhammed or Muslims or anything."
In the script and during the shooting, nothing indicated the controversial nature of the final product, now called Muslim Innocence. Muhammed wasn't even called Muhammed; he was "Master George," Garcia said. The words Muhammed were dubbed over in post-production, as were essentially all other offensive references to Islam and Muhammed.
For example, at 9:03 in the trailer, Garcia berates her husband, who wants to send their daughter to Muhammed: "Is your Muhammed a child molester?" she says in the final product. But the words are dubbed over what she actually said. The line in the scriptand the line Garcia gave during filmingwas, "is your God a child molester," Garcia told us today.
Yeah, and now the actors' lives are at risk. Despicable.
