(10,960 posts)There have been times when Fox personalities didn't use the Fox poll, prrefering to cite other polls that showed a bigger Republican number.
IIRC, Fox had some of the better numbers for Kerry.

(31,233 posts)"An increase in support from women as well as independents gives Barack Obama a post-convention advantage over challenger Mitt Romney. The president receives a five percentage-point bounce among women and a 12-point bounce among independents, in a Fox News poll released Wednesday.
The poll finds the president has a significant advantage on most issues and candidate traits. Voters trust Obama more than Romney on foreign policy (+15 points), education (+14 points), Medicare (+11 points), health care (+9 points) and terrorism (+8 points)."

(436 posts)LV is higher than the 4%, which shows LV willl not always necessarily be significantly more pro-Republican than Democratic.
Typically LV is 1-5% more pro-R than Registered Voter samples are, but again, the variation is large.

(18 posts)it will just help Obama. The country tends to pull together behind the present leader when we are under attack. Unless those radicals over there are just plain idiots they don't want Romney in office....the last thing they would want is some warmongering conservative as our president just when we're starting to put some distance between us and Israel.

(1,915 posts)Even though the republicans spew a lot of FUD, people are not gullible enough for fall for it.
PS: yes yes we should not be complacent..but I would be rather shocked if Pres Obama did not win.
PPS: Democrat talking heads on TV should emphasize the anti choice/anti woman agenda of the right..imho some of them are not stressing the differences enough .
