Seems like the elders are not prepared to die for Trumps death cult

When we look to America, we all know that the government response has been panicked, untrustworthy, incompetent pile of bullshit to Covid-19. I am not going to bore with the list of utter horror, we all know what it is. But here is the thing. This government has to rely on the voters to get back into power, and their instinct is not to save lives but to save the economy, their instinct is to try and convince the elderly and the vulnerable that they should be happy to sacrifice their lives for the republic. Now that is way more freakish than any country should endure in this time. But it is backfiring. Seems like old people don’t like being told they are expendable and new polling shows his support amongst the elders is tanking.

Morning Consult definitely has evidence that seniors are souring on Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, particularly now that he’s fretting so much over the economy: By a nearly 6-to-1 margin, people ages 65 and older say it’s more important for the government to address the spread of coronavirus than it is to focus on economic goals. And as President Donald Trump increasingly signals interest in prioritizing the economy, America’s senior citizens are growing critical of his approach.
Quinnipiac shows seniors approving of Trump’s handling of the coronavirus by a 48/45 margin in early March but disapproving by a 52/45 margin in early April, Quinnipiac also shows Biden’s lead among seniors swelling from 49/46 in March to 54/41 in April

Seems like people enjoy blinking and breathing and are not willing to sacrifice their lives for the Republican Party Trump era death cult. Heh, who would have thought it?

That this senior is not willing to cash it in for the benefit of the rich. Fuck 'em and the whores they rode in on. I would far rather die fighting the bastards in the streets.

12. Republicans have decided that seniors are not productive members of society

They join the ranks of those who rely on safety net income streams. For seniors, this would be the so-called entitlement programs, Social Security and Medicare.

I thought Dan Patrick's (Texas Lt. Gov) first comment was ridiculous and grotesque, how seniors should be willing to sacrifice themselves for the US economy. But yesterday's statement left no doubt about the depths Republicans have fallen:

"There are more important things than living."

If you swallow an idea like that, then it's a mere two-step to adopt all matter of monstrous notions. Republicans are willing to do this and say this to keep the support of their ethno-nationalist supporters; it's their only hope of retaining power, to keep the grifting spigots wide open.

As I've said before, it's time for the Republican Party to die a miserable death.
