(24,329 posts)I loathe Clarence Thomas and have for decades (more than Scalia, but less than Alito)
But getting that seat is pivotal.
Replacing Breyer and Ginsburg keeps the status quo
Getting Thomas' seat shifts the Court

(24,329 posts)I just keep my fingers crossed
What I'm concerned with is that il douche loses in November, Thomas calls it quits right after and McConnell crams a new justice through
Some uniquely qualified justice whose background is in watch repair and falconry

(24,329 posts)getting that seat?
Because that is what you will get.
With a Democratic president at the very least it will not get filled, at the most we get someone. Especially with a Democratic senate

(1,378 posts)The confirmation of SCOTUS is 100% under the control of the Republicans, so if they want to confirm a new Justice they will. There is absolutely nothing that can be done about it.
