Aw good Jebus. Now they're trying to convince us that we need sports to start back up.

Including Dr. Fauci.

3. He needs it for his reelection campaign because the SEC football fans will revolt

And he will lose bigly.

16. No way in hell college football can do this. Jeebus. May as well put gladiators in colliseum.

I know the SEC obsession for their football, but no way in hell these big universities are going to put their players at risk unless players are all tested, isolated for the season (yeah, right), and played sans audience in empty stadiums. Try telling that to the beer-guzzling alumns who won't get to tailgate.

Frankly, I'm not so sure universities are even going to get the students back in the Fall, much less sports teams.

Professional sports more likely, IMO

5. Y-y-y-y-yeah, No.

I'm missing sports and we have season tickets that will probably go by the wayside, but really, there are far more important things to attend to right now than sports.

9. Even If Some Restart...

...there won't be fans in attendance, mostly. Can't say for sure with that crazy Ivey in Alabama, or DeSantis in FL.
But, pro leagues are all developing restart plans with empty stands.

6. I actually don't mind this.

As long as the players and rev are tested regularly and no audience, I don't see it as a problem. And baseball has little close contact as well. I am all for giving people something to watch at home.

7. I surely wish they could, but not gonna happen...

at least not in the traditional sense. Packed stadiums are at least another year away, likely more.

Sports with crowds is nuts.

17. no same regular TV

NFL/NBA/NHL still broadcast from stadiums, just empty. You'll miss the crowd noise energy but still get to see the games and root on your team from home, which is already what 90 percent of sports fans do anyways.

19. no money?

I don't think you understand how TV contracts work.

Way more is made by TV contracts than ticket sales. Like way, way more.

20. I can understand wanting to start up sports. A lot of livelihoods depend on professional sports.

But I think it's too early to start now. But it's OK to be discussing just what conditions need to be met before we contemplate starting sports back up.
