Cry me a river.

The campaign of Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney called the Federal Reserves third round of quantitative easing another bailout for President Barack Obamas economy on Thursday, while other GOP members wondered whether Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke was doing the administrations bidding by calling for the jolt to the economy.
Shortly after the Fed announced it would purchase $40 billion in mortgage-backed securities each month, Romney campaign policy director Lanhee Chen said in a press release: The Federal Reserves announcement of a third round of quantitative easing is further confirmation that President Obamas policies have not worked. After four years of stagnant growth, falling incomes, rising costs and persistently high unemployment, the American economy doesnt need more artificial and ineffective measures. We should be creating wealth, not printing dollars.

It really is interesting that it is happening right now before an election, Rep. Raul Labrador, an Idaho Republican, told The Hill prior to the Fed announcement. It is going to sow some growth in the economy, and the Obama administration is going to claim credit.
New Jersey Rep. Scott Garrett echoed Labradors remarks, also telling The Hill: They are the ones who always say they want to remain independent. So they should consider, just how independent are they when they come out, only 50 days before the election, with this?

(25,241 posts)thing he did to try and stimulate the economy - they had sabotaged his efforts for him to do anything. They sandbagged him. It's their fault that the economy and the jobs scene is where it's at now - but it's perfectly alright for them to blame it all on him.
Remember they wanted him to be a one term president. What did McConnell say?

If he weren't doing it, you'd be whining the other way, "why doesn't he do something."

(1,435 posts)They continued to obstruct so he did something to help. These guys complaining, are pissed because they may be jobs created, so easy to see. Why are gas prices going up, again? So people will have less money to buy other things and stall growth.
Rmoney said he wants to get rid of Bernanki, so he pushed him to act sooner. Congress ignored his pleas to pass a jobs bill, so he took action improve the economy. He was first appointed by Bush.
