Is there really more that unites us than divides us

In any country or society people are going to have different opinion and views. And that can be great and healthy because you do not want Group Think and different views allows for enlightenment. I have also heard that old adage that there is more that unites us than divides us. But in this current political environment in America, is that really true. What common values and goal do we have with republicans and conservatives. What do we all want and agree on. It’s to the point that I really cannot stand the other side and don’t agree with them on anything. Hell, we can’t even agree on this pandemic

provides much better operation than a divisive one. Again, that's my viewpoint but psychological
experiments show how to both divide or unite people.

Hate can be destructive but I think it's ok to hate the haters. You and I and many others can agree on
many things. Let's unite so that with our combined strength we can make this world a better place.
