Sorry for yet another post, but did I read that Tara Reade accused others of assault?

I thought I had read it and cannot find any info.

I did read that she stole from an animal non-profit, but I was under the impression she has made other false allegations.

Thank you.

4. Why are there so many threads about Tara Reade?
Fri May 1, 2020, 02:45 PM

Most of America do not really care. There are soo many posts about it that you will think that this is the only news story that is dominating headlines. It is not.

Is the pandemic over? Are places safe to return to visit? Has the government fixed employment, stimulates checks, food banks? What are the plans to open America up safely? Will I lose my job soon? Is there a food shortage?

These are the issues that real American are thinking about. I can understand a few threads about this woman, but most people could care less. I guess I don't understand why ppl on this board and paying so much attention on it.

5. I can't answer that. Perhaps because, unfortunately, it's news?

Do you think I should delete this thread?

It is more like heresy.

I'm not attacking you and everyone can post whatever they want. I'm just babbled the amount of time ppl on this board are devoting to this story. There is so many stories that are way more import to talk about.

7. Because all of those things you mentioned...

...will be directly affected by the upcoming Presidential election. Does America care about Tara Reade? Not really...not now. But, come summer when this shit is ramping up, Republicans will be using her to disenfranchise Independents and women.

All of the issues you've mentioned are at the forefront of (likely) every American mind. Think of the multiple Reade posts as masks preventing the spread of a political virus so that we can attempt to get our lives back.

14. Sadly, we don't know if most Americans don't care.

That's your assumption. You might be right. But we don't know.

1) this is the first time this story has hit the MSM, so, most Americans likely didn't even know about these allegations until this week. Because of that, we have no clue what their views on this will be.

2) Because this is new, we don't know the impact it will have on the polls.

Fortunately, we should have an idea of the impact this will have on the polls in a week or so then you should know.

I really don't care about Tara Reade, but I do care how her allegations will be used by republicans to discredit Biden. Like so many, I like to know the background of such charges before I encounter people who try to use it against our nominee.

Obviously, there are more important issues right now, but I think we can handle this as well ,being the November election is so important.

8. I found this link to be a good rundown of her misrepresentation

This is primary source, not vetted by a journalist. So read it with a grain of salt. But this the direction that the deconstruction of her accusation will run.

I for one don't enjoy seeing her excoriated. She seems to be a very troubled person who's about to be unravelled in a very public manner. At the core of her misleading account seems to be some very real physical abuse in her past. If it's wrong for her to falsely accused Joe Biden, it's also wrong for us to revel in the undoing of her delusions

I had thought I'd read about all the information that all of you have so kindly provided. I like to be informed to be able to rebut, and I was unable to find my original source.

16. Please! She's probably getting paid to Al Franken Joe Biden.

27 years later when he's the Dem nominee and not three years ago during the me_too movement, or in '08 when Obama tapped him for VP? It can't be any more obvious she's getting paid.

18. That's quite an indictment of Reade. Mika should have reviewed these documents carefully before

her Biden interview. To Joe's credit, he didn't say a single negative thing about Reade, he just denied the accusation and urged the media to investigate further.

It's a journalist's job to do a little background research before the sort of interview Mika did this morning. It's abundantly evident Reade is not another Christine Blasey Ford, she's more like Maria Butina.

One allegation here:
"In the Medium article, Reade gave more details about her background and biography. “The first powerful man who abused me physically and emotionally was my father,” she wrote. “He was rich and a defense contractor but did not like children, only the process of getting them."
