I hope somebody in Biden's team is keeping a list
of all the crap that Trump did that they will need to undo. Its going to be a long list.
Not only do they need to do that, they also absolutely should identify any and every person, political appointee or federal employees who went along with anything that was lawless. These people need to be prosecuted if we want to avoid ever again ending up in a situation like that. Some of the unfettered presidential powers also need to be reined in. Congress needs to take back what it delegated to the president such as the power to make decisions on trade treaties or tariffs.

2. I wouldn't be surprised if Trump issues
blanket pardons for all his cultists. He might even issue himself one. Also he just might leave office a day early holding a signed pardon by Pence post dated.

4. Nope but you bet his lawyers
will spend a lot of time arguing double jeopardy. I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't already working overtime to off shore any exposed assets and picking out a nice country without an extradition treaty. Look at the criminals from the US that have had great life's in other countries (Roman Polanski and Marc Rich to name two).

9. I don't know if the double jeopardy thing will work here
The state crimes are wholly separate from the federal ones, aren't they?
But I think you're right about the other stuff. Somebody in Trump's cabal has planned this out, even if he himself doesn't believe that he will lose in November |

10. Yes, like Nixon did. And Nixon resigned at the urging of top Republicans back then.

13. A bunch of what Trump did was by executive order.
That should be fairly easy to reverse as it is documented.
They've been lousy at passing legislation. The tax cuts to the 1% need repeal. They should have someone look at the judicial appointments to see if any can be removed for making false claims. |

14. You would have to have broad support for impeachment
for the Federal judges and that is not happening unless the GOP totally collapses and is on the run. I think an unexpected death at the Supreme Court level is the only thing that might save the judiciary (I figure Thomas is coming off between November and January if Trump loses the election).
It is going to take a long time to pass this kidney stone, and the Democratic party has a stacked deck when it comes to the Senate. Better hope a few more states go Blue in the long term. |
