My 87 year old mom is so much better today!

Many thanks for all the warm wishes about my mom over the last several weeks.

It has been over a month since she went to the hospital with pneumonia and congestive heart failure. She has been in a recuperative facility for almost a month. Today she is off oxygen and can walk a bit with her walker. Mom still has some quality time left. Medicare means everything for her to continue a life with dignity. It's not an entitlement. She paid for it!

The proposed voucher system of $15,000 a year would have been used up when she had her stroke in June. Where would she have gone with no $ in December?

The Republicans screamed about "death panels" but they are willing to effectively deny poor people medical care. A $15,000 voucher would not buy much health insurance and even less actual health CARE.

was that insurance companies wouldn't write policies at all for the elderly. Get that, Ryan? They won't write the paper so those vouchers to pay for policies are worthless.

I don't know how that man got to be in his 40s being that ignorant of what happened in his youth.

fought the good fight for a long time. I guess she was just tired and ready to go. She was having dementia. Its so sad. She kept seeing her family members.
