(36 posts)What we're seeing is a total collapse of the Romney campaign. Yeah like I care. He's an even bigger embarrassment to the USA than the Bush family.
This is Romney's typical flip/flip campaign that he's done for 15+ years. There is no major issue, especially core issue he is ashamed to completely reverse his opinion on. As in this case, sometimes the very next day he makes the modified position 180 degree changed statement!
From family planning women's right to choose "Multiple Choice" (Ted Kennedy's words) to health care Romney is the great shame of America. I feel embarrassed just to know he's the second name on the ballot.

(53,410 posts)But instead of being embarrassed why don't you just enjoy watching them destroy themselves. It can be fun!

(39,451 posts)before Mitt Romney debates Barack Obama, he should first debate Mitt Romney!
I shouldn't be laughing - this is not funny, but dangit - Romney is such a joke.
BlueStreak
(8,377 posts)He started by saying Obama was apologizing to terrorists, and now he is putting out a statement far more apologetic than the original one from the Egyptian embassy !?
Don't words mean anything to this man?
Seriously, does he even listen to what he's saying?
I guess the etch-a-sketch is in high gear now. Seems like he wakes up every morning and wipes out any memory of what he said the day before.

(476 posts)I was thinking about his flip-flopping, but reading your comment brought a whole new dimension to it. Poor impulse control is exactly what it going on here. Can we expect him to bomb a country, think about it for a day or two, and then apologize for his actions expecting that there will be no consequences?
When I was teaching, that is one thing I tried to instill in my student more than anything else is a sense of responsibility. Every action you choose has consequences. Thinking about what those consequences may yield to you in the end and weighing them against each other helps you to make a logical well-informed opinion.
I've literally seen 5th graders able to do this better than RMoney can...

(8,377 posts)"Yes, if we knew everything then that we know now, maybe we wouldn't bomb, but I was still right to bomb, just to be safe. Plus you can't give in to terrorists."
His people suddenly realized that their candidate was looking stupid in the arena of foreign affairs. So he apologizes for being an idiot and tries to look presidential doing so.
Guess what?
Mittens is still an idiot.

(14,887 posts)before the election? There doesn't seem to be anyone who can, or who is willing, to take him aside and speak to him in calm even tones. His head is going to explode if this pace continues.
He takes the exact same position he just condemned days before.
This guy is a complete moron I'm afraid.

(9,213 posts)and be different from his position on literally everything, that an issue finally came along that he couldn't be different on. Of course, he should have checked with his advisors first before speaking, but now they actually are giving props to The President and admitting he is right. Poor Romney.

(25,111 posts)and keep silent because American lives are at stake. Shit, I think if they work with the Pres O's administration in reality they, Mittens, would look more presidential, but alas he and his campaign are a bunch of loonies who don't give a crap about people's lives.
