POLL: Trump finally dipping to high thirties: Biden 46, Trump 38.

https://www.yahoo.com/news/trump-approval-dips-amid-mounting-233720845.html

Looking better, but need Biden plus 50 and Trump minus 40. Can't believe he still is in the 40s by any measure. Looking for a conflation of GE-Disapproval Biden 56%, Trump 38%, Then I will feel more comfortable!

Ipsos/Reuters
General Election: Unfortunately it is an All Adults not a likely Voters.
Biden 46% (compared with a 2-point Biden lead in Reuters/Ipsos polling last week)
Trump 38%

Approval Rating:

Disapprove: 56% (+5 from mid=April)
Approve: 41% (-4 from mid-April)

Not much good news for Trump down the line, but it is still early for GE nationwide predictions.

1. It's registered voters

It also found that 46% of registered voters said they would back Biden in the Nov. 3 presidential election, while 38% would vote for Trump.

12. that's not particularly unusual for this time of year

But it does look like both candidates are "soft" - a dynamic VP nom will hopefully shore up Joe's numbers.

15. Figure It's Really 8%, Jim

6% will vote L or G, no matter who the major party candidates are.

17. Thanks. That's better. I rather know the percentage not going to either one

So we see what weíre working with. It actually looks good now with your explanation.

18. In 2016, L & G Voters...

...were around 6 & 3 million. 130 million people voted, so close to 7%, so I rounded down because some might commit to major parties.
In this poll, the segments might have included neither but they didn't bother to report that 6 or 7%.

5. Polls are interesting. But I prefer the Democratic Party focuses on identifying our voters.

After we analyze and ID voters we have to get them to the polls. The GOP is skilled at that. They have laser like precision and they are disciplined.

We must focus on jobs. If Joe Biden is asked about the sky, he needs to pivot to jobs.

Iíve seen Rick Scott, Ron DeSantis, and Trump do that. Iím sick of it.

6. The 2008 and 2012 Obama campaigns

Weíre good at that, too....I donít understand why we didnít use that method in 2010, 2014, and 2016

8. Considering the fact that Biden hasn't even started campaigning yet......

Those are pretty good numbers at this stage of the game. How bad do you have to be to have your ass handed to you as your opponent sits in his basement planning his campaign. Joe's doing it all right in my opinion.

9. Biden is almost like the "unnamed" candidate in a poll.

I will crawl over glass for 10 miles to vote for Joe.

I am frightened that when he starts campaigning he will come off as old and uninspiring. I pray itís not true.

Iíve always thought that a silver lining in all this pandemic shit down is that Biden could sit back, relax, rest, and let Trump look like the idiot he is. He ďonlyĒ has to endure the grueling campaign of presidential politics for 5-6 months.

11. I saw digital idiot friends on FaceBook, frustrated that Los Angeles may not open up until August.

They were saying (literally), "Since when do they quarantine healthy people."

That being said, I'm not surprised Trump has that kind of popularity.

16. and just think!

all it took was a pandemic killing thousands every day and could have been mitigated if trump were not sitting on his fat ass while it spread uncontrollably!
