Embassy attacks

At this point, there is no way to tell who is protesting what. I believe the coordinated attack in Benghazi was a direct action by Islamic extrmists. Beyond that, who knows?

I am sure that there are people upset about the film. However, I also think that everybody and their mother who has a grievance against just about anything are using ths as cover to protest. Using the US as a target along with other of our allies is a no-brainer. Instead of making the messes among Muslim groups worse, take out the frustrations on an unpopular entity.

This may be one reason that Egypt was dragging their heels and that some other leaders are not exactly speeding to our side. They don't want to antagonize their peeps and even they may not have them sorted out yet. In addition, this will allow the masses to wear themselves out on somebody else. It is going to get a lot worse before it gets better.

I do not and have not understand our embassy security for a while. In any country, they are targets for groups or loners or whoever. They should have been fortified and fully staffed by the military in security matters.

I don't mean that they should build a huge palace in each country that resembles the one in Iraq. It should have been undertaken quietly and done thoroughly in the existing buildings. It's been dumped in Obama's lap now, but it should have been done years ago.

The only surprise in this is that some people are surprised. Before I shuffle off this mortal coil, I hope the entire groups of people involved will be exposed.
