(34,095 posts)for posting this for all my old fans. LOL.
Sad about this, he was a great character and over the years I have known and called several friends of my sons Eddie.
RIP Mr. Osmond and thanks for the entertainment.

I liked the last couple of years "Beavers" shows where Eddie was in full smartass mode. But he always apologized and showed his good side. One of the funniest ones was an older one where he taught Beaver to say something in Spanish to his new Mexican friend. Of course it wasn't what he said it was, so Beaver ended up telling his friend he had a face like a pig, and Eddie-inspired mayhem followed.

(415 posts)I read an article a few years ago about how Mr. Osmond became an LA area police officer for many years and also was involved in a lot of charity work. Eddie had a soul.

(81,110 posts)Eddie Haskell was such a classic weasel character. Exquisitely portrayed by Ken Osmond! You loved him and loved to hate him at the same time.
Makes me wonder if his character was a role model for some republi-CONS we all know nowadays.

She said it made grown-ups suspicious of kids who were genuinely polite.
