You ain't black

1. As a black man, I agree and have said the same thing
2. The only people outraged, or should I say fake outraged are white racists and the “ain’t” blacks, matter fact, a lot of the “ain’t” blacks are the same people who like to say “I am not African American, I am an American”

I'm black, too, and I also agree but he still shouldn't have said it. This is why one has surrogates, to speak the words you want to get out there but it would not be politic to do yourself. He has plenty of black staffers who could have voiced this. Now he looks like a paternalistic white man trying to parse out blackness to the worthy. Of course that's not something he meant to do, but it's frustrating and annoying.

I play tennis and love Serena Williams. But in her last few major finals, she has made a ton of unforced errors that cost her titles. The Reade thing is falling apart and none of Trump's slanders are sticking and now the Vice President had to say something that will now go into another news cycle of dissection, discussion and outraged op-eds. It was a silly thing for him to say and his campaign has to do better to make sure he stops committing these unforced errors.

Fortunately, the Dipshit in the White House has so fucked everything up that the "right wing outrage machine" is sputtering like a 1970's Chrysler K Car, but you go ahead and try to fuel it all you want.

I agree, if millions of Americans weren't getting infected, if 100's of thousands weren't dying a grusome, gasping death, if 10's of millions weren't facing economic Armageddon, then Twitter and Russian bots would go into overdrive trying to turn this into another "Butter Emails".

It's not going to work this time.

Sure, the guy who served for 8 years as the VP of Americas first African American president... will have Obama and Michelle endorsing and fighting for him, is fighting to stop voter suppression is "just a racist".

Wigdor just dropped Reade as a client. She has been exposed as a liar and a fraud. The Vice President absolutely must not make any more of these gaffes that can stir up outrage when he just escaped the lion's den. He needs to explain that he was joking. Most black people know what Charlamagne and the Breakfast Club are about. But he cannot slough this off and/or get angry about it and lash out. He needs to acknowledge he said something silly that he shouldn't have.

There's absolutely no chance VP Biden won't be saying other clumsy things and that some people won't be leaping to offense and others to attack. He's famous for it. And so are they.

We're an advancing army. When responses to his good hearted, well meant statements aren't always similarly kind, generous and honest, the best response is not to be dragged down by them.

We're going through mean times, but with good leadership returning us to a better direction, eventually society in general will calm down and become nicer again, including many of those who currently believe they should claim offense where none is intended.

this is a desperate spaghetti-heaving contest. Throw, throw and hope it sticks to the wall. Be it an anti-woman meme (because women favor Joe Biden) or a manufactured outrage/slight/insult to the AA community (because African Americans favor Joe Biden), the outrage merchants are in high-gear.

Was it a dumb comment? That's not the point.

The point is to shave down the support, reverse present polling numbers and turn this thing around for traitor Trump. That's the only thing outrage merchants care about. If they can tap into an emotional trigger, all the better. Biden provided them with a comment they can run with and they are deliriously happy. For the moment.

We've seen this picture show before. In fact, we've seen it endlessly.

I suspect the next outrage will focus on seniors because Trump is leaking support. Despite voting for him in 2016, many seniors are now disgusted with the Bloviator-in-Chief.

The beat goes on.

NEW: Former VP Joe Biden just dialed into a U.S. Black Chamber call and addressed his remarks to Charlamagne tha God. Biden said, "I shouldn't have been such a wise guy. I shouldn't have been so cavalier...I have never, ever taken the African American community for granted."

Former VP Biden, on the call, said: No one should have to vote for any party based on their race, background, religion, or any demographic information. He added that he wants to earn the votes of African Americans and that they are “critical” to his ability to win the presidency.
