In other words, "We don't mind what he's doing, but just wish he'd be more discreet about it."

Silence is golden, they can't say or even hint at it, so there you have it, silence.

As Trump's re-election chances go down the toilet, establishment Republicans will abandon him and try to save themselves. Amash, Romney and Cheney were among the first, it will only get worse. It looks like The Lincoln Project is having an effect.

"I always had issues with his style."
They will say this despite video evidence of them providing full support.

...The King will be gone soon, and it doesn't matter..A few are speaking out, and the meaner Trump gets, and the closer to November that we get, more will speak out. And more...The puke party commands loyalty, and that is that. When it becomes clear to everyone, that Donnie will lose, it will be an avalanche of people who speak out.. We will all see it.. I believe Donnie is Done, but others must believe. And it will happen...Why so sure?
...Donnie is Done is a liar and a crook. He is mean and vicious. People who have never voted for a Democrat will vote for Biden. There is evidence of this right here at Democratic Underground. People have told stories about friends, relatives, and acquaintances who have never voted for a Democratic candidate, that will vote this time for Biden. It will be a one time vote, because Trump is who he is. He makes Bush Jr. look almost (yes I said almost) like a nice guy. And that is saying a whole lot.

That's it. His poll numbers are tanking and the trend is probably saying its going to get worse. So now they can say shit about him...and hope they still resonate with their voters.
