COVID-19: Seasonal?

Have any scientists ever come out and said whether or not they think COVID-19 is likely to be a seasonal thing or if it could be a year-round thing that we'll have to deal with until we have treatments, vaccine, etc? We know that the flu has specific seasons when it tends to be worse, but this isn't a type of flu. Do we have any prior experiences with Coronoviruses that tend to indicate one way or another whether they can be seasonal or do they just exist until they are eradicated or able to be vaccinated against?

1. If we consider Northern AND Southern Hemispheres, I think year round.

I remember Fauci saying that if it subsides somewhat in warmer weather in the northErn hemisphere , it would probably increase in the Southern Hemisphere .

2. Yep, and considering how it's raging in Brazil (southern hemisphere)

right now, I think we can safely conclude that it's definitely a year-round phenomenon.

4. It's Hot in Brazil.

I mean, even though it's winter in the bulk of the country, it straddles the Equator. And the virus is raging there. So much for the idea that it will go away when it gets warmer and sunnier.

3. I don't think it is seasonal. Way too much still in northern States like Idaho, Iowa right now.

P wall may be worse in the winter, but doesn't seem to be going away as we move into summer. I know over the many years when I worked in a big City every day I never even gave the flu a thought after April of every year,
