Wednesday night's protest-turned-riot has left behind a trail of burned out buildings, smashed windows, and looted stores in south Minneapolis and beyond.

Much of the damage was centered on the area around the Minneapolis Police 3rd Precinct on Lake Street, where protests over the death of George Floyd led to a minority of demonstrators turn their attentions to nearby businesses.

Here are the reports of damage or looting that have come in since Wednesday evening. This story will be update as more reports come in:
In Minneapolis

– Park-Nicollet Minneapolis Clinic: Property damage.

– K-Mart Lake Street: Property damage.

– Penzey's Spices Uptown: Property damage, looting...........................

1. Tragedy begets more tragedy. I was particularly sorry re: Penzey's (CEO is a very good progressive)

But again, tragedy begets more tragedy... I can only hope some good comes from it for the future.

Lots of our fellow posters turning in neighbors for not social distancing, for having loud parties and so on. Pretty quick to calll cops lol.

.St. Paul was spared from the chaos Wednesday night, but that all changed Thursday. The St. Paul Police Department said more than 170 businesses were looted or damaged Thursday, and dozens of fires were set. But there were no serious injuries reported in the city. Fires continued to burn in the city early Friday morning, with the largest one at Big Top Liquor near Snelling and University avenues, nearby Allianz Field.
