1. Why would they do that?

He is the President that they want.

2. Maybe not anymore

I think he WAS the President "they" wanted--- and it seemed great at first; lots of money to corporations, got to wear the neato hats, and "own the libs."

Not looking so good now-

6. Republicans desire power more than anything.

And forcing Trump out via 25th amendment would get them completely annihilated in November. Trump is EXTREMELY popular with the Republican base. If he was forced out, they would stay home and refuse to vote.

5. So, what happens when there are no longer

wads of cash to spread around?

I don't see how this country is going to heal with him in office. I think the riots will get worse. And god help us when there is a natural disaster- one hurricane should do it. The unrest will get worse.

I was looking at a twitter feed from Atlanta--- I do not recall seeing a mall invaded by protesters and looters like that in my life. Surely to god, that is going to hit the economy/ stock market.

8. no doubt he should be... has to be... removed or defeated.

but his supporters are an un-deprogrammable cult, and the repub party has rotted at the core. We are in uncharted territory.

9. I agree about his ridiculous confederate flag waving racist twits

that live on the outskirts of cities, but I am not sure about his wealthy supporters- or even members of the senate like that asswipe Mitch.

If they start losing money- and I hope they lose it all- he's gone.

11. I don't see it happening. You are using actual logic and a liberal lens

to assess a group of people we can no longer fathom. When they get cornered they just dig in deeper. "owning the libs" is all they really care about

7. Problem as I see it.

The wingers in congress are all delusional halfwit lapdogs of the 1%ers.

They should all be walking down the road, kicking a beer can..

talking to themselves...

10. It'll never happen. First, Pence and cabinet officials would vote on the removal of 45.

Then, both houses of Congress would have to vote within 21 days, and a 2/3 vote from each chamber would be required to remove the president and replace him with Pence.

Sad to say, there’s no way in hell that Pence and 45’s lieutenants would “betray” him. Then there’s a Senate that’s chockablock with yahoos that would never vote out their “greatest president ever.”

I don’t even know where the Republican Party’s “out of bounds” line is located (if it exists at all), given its complete silence— other than displays of public groveling— in the face of the countless abuses and lawbreaking 45’s committed already.

14. I don't know- why do you?

Maybe because people are getting desperate to get that man out? Because I am sitting less than 95 miles from rioting last night? Maybe because I am tired of my Black brothers and sisters getting the raw end of the deal in the US, and know that Trump is fanning the flames of racism?

15. But they aren't going to use any 25th.

The only way to get rid of him is voting him out. Unless somehow he drops dead

17. If there is such a widespread desperation to get him out, why aren't repubs demanding he resign

Your underlying premise is flawed. There is not "widespread desperation" to get him out.

16. As has been explained many times, it would be easier to impeach.

First, you need the concurrence of the Vice President and a majority of the Cabinet to turn on Trump. The chances of that happening are basically zero.
Second, its temporary and ultimately would come down to needing a 2/3 vote in both the House and Senate rather than just the Senate as in the the case of impeachment.

So, no. it won't work.

18. It is all about power

The Republicans have all of their money bet on Trump. If they get rid of him it would be after a successful election. Then they could install Pence for perhaps 8 more years. Pence would serve his masters better than Trump because he is not such a revolting personality.

We can't lose sight of the fact that Trump is just the exposed tip of a very large Fascist iceberg. Getting rid of Trump, while it would be very satisfying, does not change the power structure of the alliance of the Republican Party and the Federal court system.
