Perhaps it is time for the press to fight back. I understand that the buy the proverbial ink by the barrel.

Too many journalists have protected their asses by sitting silent in the presence of Trump's lies, their silence is taken for weakness.
The truth is a powerful weapon, use it. Hound the President to distraction!

...how many times did the press allow 45 to fester with his ramblings and lies while they turned a blind eye to it?

More specifically, how many opportunities have members of the press had to focus on the overt racism in police forces and decided to focus on the shiny objects? Just like we journalists at the protests right now, I've not see one member of the press interview a head of a police union to ask them their part in causing these protests. Why aren't journalists interviewing police commissioners and other law enforcement and asking them to respond to the charges the protesters are making?

Of course, nobody wants journalists to be harmed, but they should acknowledge their responsibility in the chaos.
