be expected even with supermajorities because a lot of the free speech purists apply it wrongly and freak out and a lot of the necessary players think fox is the problem
once every advertiser on every rw station gets asked if they actually support trump etc many will head for the hills. to avoid that the ad industry will start to democratize it. along with imbaugh's imminent croaking many of those stations will change programming. protests at a few of the 87 universities that support rw radio can start that.
if a few of those schools were forced into public discussions of why they support radio stations that are making excuses for the racism that most of their student athletes are hit with every day, others would follow and pretty soon advertisers would abandon those stations and the ad industry would have to break up the 30 year monopoly at the heart of this disaster.
all it would take is someone like reich to mention talk radio once in a while, or maybe michael moore can ask why u of michigan and michigan state support 18!!!! fucking limbaugh stations while they make excuses for lead in the water and calll kneeling athletes traitors.
the GOP will lose the only unique advantage it has. without it mcconnell and many republican senators will lose. even before the elections they might end support of trump if they know those stations won't be there to attack them if they turn on him or excuse their licking of trumps private parts for 3 years
all americans have to do is convince the ad industry that boycotts and blame is coming at the advertisers and universities that sponsored and endorsed 3 months of covid denial and the death and economic disaster that denial is causing. the ad industry is already facing having to replace a dying limbaugh - the guy the whole talk radio monopoly was built around. when they have to preemptively start asking their clients if they really support trump etc they know they're going to lose a lot of clients. instead they can use limbaugh's impending death as an excuse to force democratization of talk radio. 600 of our loudest stations depend on limbaugh and they can't replace him, and they want those ears.
that will destroy it as a propaganda operation and most of the rest of the RW media will fall apart with it
