Real Time with Bill Maher continues its 18th season Friday, June 5 (10:00-11:00 p.m. live ET/tape-delayed PT), with a replay at 11:31 p.m., exclusively on HBO.
Virtual interview guests include activist and rapper Michael Render ("Killer Mike" ), whose latest album Run the Jewels 4 was released on Wednesday; and former FBI Assistant Director for Counterintelligence and NBC News National Security Contributor, Frank Figliuzzi. This week will also feature a virtual panel with former chair of the Republican National Committee and current host of The Michael Steele Podcast and MSNBC analyst, Michael Steele; and author and Georgetown School of Law professor Rosa Brooks.

(22,990 posts)I like Bill less lately, but if the guests are good, it's still must watch. Ya ain't gonna hear that shit nowhere else.

(204,718 posts)He may be a comedian, but he has always come out with serious opinion pieces. I'm looking forward to this week's New Rules - we're entering uncharted territory.

(63,221 posts)Looking forward to Killer Mike and Figliuzzi should be intriguing. Rosa Brooks also appears to be someone worth watching, but the weak spot here is Michael Steele.
Hopefully, Bill will behave himself this week and be sure to get his facts straight before going off on Democrats.

(204,718 posts)As I said upthread, I'm particularly looking forward to New Rules, since we know that Bill has never been one to mince words.
And it looks like a pretty good lineup, I liked the "panel" that they tried last week. As for Michael Steele, he's always been pretty much of a moderate - and a decent sport since he used to appear on the show back when he was Lieutenant Governor of Maryland. I think he's got to be a "never-Trumper" since he is a regular on MSNBC and Rachel Maddow likes him.
